Pre (1907-1988) Pre studied at l'Ecole Boulle before working 8 years for Jacque
Emile Ruhlmann and taking part in some of his most important works. In the mid-30s
Pre began to work on his own. His furniture is recognized by its clean and simple
lines and most, whether rustic or modern, are of waxed oak. Pre took part in a
number of salons in France and worldwide. He was awarded a first place prize in
1937 at the Exposition des Arts et Techniques and furnished twelve luxury suites
for the great ocean-liner France.
