WELCOME TO HABITÉ
For close to 10 years
we have imported from Europe some of the best French and Continental antique
pieces available. Although we focus mostly on French antiques, dating from the
Louis XIII period of the 17th Century through the exquisite Art Deco period
of the first half of the 20th Century, we also have some beautiful Continental
antiques. From Spanish tables to Italian chandeliers and from Swiss chairs to
German trunks, our 7,400-square-foot showroom is a place to take your time and
browse through the great historical periods of Europe.
We do not feature
all of our French and Continental antiques on our website, so please feel free
to contact us if there is a specific piece that you are looking for which you
cannot find. We can easily send you photos via mail or e-mail of additional
pieces in the showroom as well as search our inventory in our warehouse located
in the South of France. At Habité, we bring to you the elements of a uniquely
French way of life, combining the best in quality and uniqueness with the best
possible value.
OUR INVENTORY IS DIVERSE
Our ever-changing
inventory of French
and Continental antiques
is quite various, ranging from meubles en bois naturel, to architectural and
decorative elements, accessories and lighting, with over 100 chandeliers and
lanterns to choose from. We take great care in restoring our antiques to bring
out the best in them. In many cases, this work is carried out by skilled French
craftsmen in our warehouse in France or in our San Francisco shop located a
few doors down from the showroom.
We work with a number of reputable shipping companies, upholsterers, and electricians.
We are more than happy to help you rewire, reupholster or make arrangements
to ship your purchased pieces anywhere in the world. We also have a large resource
book of companies that specialize in anything you could ever need regarding
French and Continental antiques, so feel free to give us a call and we will
be glad to help in any way we can.
